About the Author
Jeanelle Hughes is a memoirist and women’s empowerment storyteller whose work is rooted in truth, survival, and emotional rebirth. As a survivor of domestic violence, trauma, and the emotional destruction of toxic relationships, she uses her lived experiences to amplify the voices of women who feel unseen, unheard, or forgotten.
Her debut memoir, Dangerously in Love, is a raw and intimate account of love, danger, recovery, and rediscovering self-worth after years of pain. Jeanelle writes with one mission: to help women recognize red flags, reclaim their power, and release the shame tied to their past.
When she isn’t writing, Jeanelle is advocating for women’s emotional wellness, safety, and personal transformation. She believes that healing is a lifelong journey—and telling the truth is where it begins.
